2. Situation
| The situation The Meistermacher company has been contracted to modernize an apartment building with 18 units and 8 shops on the ground floor (bakery, hairdresser, dentist, magazines, travel agency, driving school, electronics stores, flower shop). The building is classified in the Building Class 4th. In the stairwell, a passenger lift is installed. Fire safety is a priority. Especially important is the subdivision into fire compartments, installation of fire containment, and the planning of emergency and escape routes. Existing building parts and constructions have to be inspected according to current European fire regulations and have to be adjusted if needed.
