Horizontal masonry
The following sketches show why the lowest bearing joint can be unevenly thick. Therefore, the height of 1 meter is measured only at one corner. It is important that the masonry is conducted horizontally in each layer and on the top.
When the meter is fixed in one place, the measure is transferred to the other gauges with the tube level or a spirit level.
