Header bond
The first row starts and ends with a three-quarter stone and continues with so-called headers. In the 3rd, 5th, 7th layer this schama is repeated
The second layer starts and ends with so-called headers. You also find them in the 4th, 6th and 8th row and so on.
Stretcher bond
The first row starts and ends with a so-called stretcher and continues with stretchers. In the 3rd, 5th, 7th layer this schama is repeated
The second layer starts and ends with headers. You also find them in the 4th, 6th and 8th row and so on.
Cross bond
The first row starts and ends with a three-quarter stone and continues with so-called stretchers. In the 3rd and 7th row a header is build in at the beginning and the end.
The second layer starts and ends with so-called headers. You also find them in the 4th, 6th and 8th row and so on.
In this way, a cross appears in the front view. By the way, this masonry is very stable, it can carry large compressive forces.
