Conducting

After the planning and decision phase, the trainer checks the plans of the trainees once again. After that, their plan can be put into practice.

Now the actual workpiece is created, in this case the garden wall.

Trainer´s support

Trainer´s support

In the conducting phase the trainer should help the trainees by

  • drawing attention to heavy mistakes
  • compliance with the rules of work safety and health protection
  • observation of handling the tools
  • observing the measuring process
  • controlling of the horizontal and vertical alignment
  • careful handling of mortar (mortar can be dangerous when it comes to the skin and into the eyes)
  • Order and cleanless of the workplace
  • .....

Note

  • Only intervene in the case of errors if learning and work success or safety at work is at risk.
  • Explain to trainees what they are doing wrong and show them how to do it right/better/less complicated/faster/easier.
  • Do not unsettle the trainees by constantly observing them. Give them enough space to try it out. They should learn through good (and also through bad) experiences.
  • First of all, the trainees should learn to do it right. The velocity comes with routine.
