The following list gives you an overview of standardized mortar classes and their raw materials according to European standard EN 998-2 (by room proportions).

Mortar class M 2,5

• 1,5 pt. lime past + 1 pt. cement + 8 pt. sand or
• 2 pt. lime hydrate + 1 pt. cement + 8 pt. sand or
• 2 pt. hydraulic lime (HL2) + 1 pt. cement + 8 pt. sand or
• 1 pt. hydraulic lime (HL5) + 3 pt. sand or
• 1 pt. plaster- and wallbinders (MC5) + 3 pt. sand

Mortar class M 5

• 1 pt. lime hydrate + 1 pt. cement + 6 pt. sand or
• 2 pt. hydraulic lime (HL5) + 1 pt. cement + 8 pt. sand or
• 2 pt. plaster- and wallbinders (MC5)+ 1 pt. cement + 8 pt. sand

Mortar class M 10

• 1 pt. cement + 4 pt. sand
